The name and colours of the restaurant correspond to a given theme: Italian cinema in the 1950's and 60's. The restaurant combines the flair of a contemporary noble trattoria in the Via Veneto and the Baroque splendour of Rome as a backdrop for the film history and simultaneously the historical, ecclesiastical and political power. This atmosphere emanates from a selection of framed photographs, mainly backstage, the neo-Baroque design statements of the central elements and the cardinal red of the velvet cushions. The oval table under the chandelier (Light Shade, Moooi) has been conceived as a place to meet up for an aperitif or a cigar. (Smoke chairs, Moooi) - a kind of informal bar. The chairs in the inner area (Leggera, Gio' Ponti, 1951 – predecessors of Superleggera dating back to 1957 – the cult stool of the time) are mirrored in a shining floor typical for the 1950's (Seminato). The atmospheric bright lighting and the air extraction are both provided by narrow slits (specially designed, 4 cm wide) in the hanging ceiling (profile Viabizzuno, Sistema 094). Outdoors there are wind resistant gas lamps (Flames, Moooi) on the tables and practical outdoor armchairs (Soft Egg, Philippe Starck for Driade).
